Coach Mealy has new book published

Head Coach Todd Mealy's new book "Legendary Locals of Harrisburg" is officially on bookshelves Monday, September 22.

Mealy's book is part of Arcadia Publishing's Legendary Locals series that celebrates people who have made a memorable impact on their community throughout its history. Individuals featured in the books run the gamut from politicians to high school coaches and athletes; from notorious personalities to local business owners and beloved entertainers. Their images and stories document the unique contributions residents have made throughout history that shape the community today.

Mealy, who has his team spend MLK holidays doing community service in the Millersville community and traditionally sends football players into the elementary schools to encourage leisure reading, writes, "these profiles of real lives and real heroes show us that we all have contributed to the development of our own communities."

For football fans, the book features a sports chapter that includes some of Central Pennsylvania's greatest coaches, players, and sportswriters.

This is the third book that Mealy has had published. Mealy will appear on abc27's "Good Day PA" at noon on October 2 to discuss the book.

Spotlight: Justin Robinson, PM Football Videographer

(Image courtesy of Thomas J. Mealy)

Penn Manor High School sophomore Justin Robinson is in his second year acting as Director of Web Casting and Video Personnel for the football program. One year ago as a freshman, Justin worked as an anchor on the high school's morning news show and was elected to serve as president of his class. His work is appreciated by the coaching staff, which sees Justin as a 6'4 220 pound videographer who has no interest in playing football yet finds other ways to make the program better.

He recently joined the team on its journey to Dublin, Ireland, where he spent the week video documenting every inch of the trip. His videos will soon be made available.
